INVEST IN HAPPINESS

When I say invest in happiness, I literally mean to spend money on experiences than materialistic items. These experiences give you joy, memories and true happiness for a lifetime. It can be something really small also. Imagine you are having a deep conversation with your siblings or parents or it can be your friends also. No phones or no distractions. It feels truly good. Remember, your parents will leave you forever after a while. There is no  point in crying and being sad after that. Nothing is permanent in life. Stop keeping anger for one and destroying your own happiness.

Every day we get upset about something or the other. Everyone is busy behind their careers which is a very good thing. Remember time is not going to come back. Don't ignore the small things in your life which you think it's not important. If you know, unplanned trips are always the best. Same applies to the small things in our life also. Once in a while, take out your old albums and old photos from your computer. Just go through it for a while. You will understand the importance of small things and the beautiful memories you have created.

Has someone given you personalized gifts? Has someone gifted you memories? If it is a yes, you can imagine the amount of happiness you get at that point of time. Those gifts last forever. Materialistic things we can buy now or later on also. But some things are very difficult to buy on our own. Even I have got videos from others wishing on my B'days and personalized gifts which will still last forever. Those things are priceless.

A girl while she was working out in a gym, her head was extremely paining. She felt like someone was squeezing her brains and she couldn't bare it. The 24-year-old girl got admitted immediately and diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage. It is a stroke caused by bleeding into the space surrounding the brain. One-third of patients will survive with good recovery; one-third will survive with a disability and one-third will die. She immediately started treatment and as the days passed, she suffered from vision issues, unbearable pain and memory loss. Everything happened so suddenly that it takes time for one to adjust the whole new situation. It was hard. That pain was really difficult for her that she even asked the nurse to let her die somehow. After her treatment, she started going for work. 2 years later she went for a brain scan, and she was told that a growth on the side of her brain that she became aware during her first hospital stay had "doubled in size" and required surgery. AGAIN.

Can you guess the person? She is Emilia Clarke, the actor who plays Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. However, she has successfully overcome the surgery. She even started a charity called SameYou where she helps people in recovering from brain injuries and stroke.

We got no clue when our lives will change or end. Nothing is forever. Stop complaining about your problems and just check how blessed you are. Do things that make you happy. Help people, which in return get you happiness. Make beautiful memories with your parents and friends. Don't wait for the correct time. We take our lives granted always. Things can flip in a matter of seconds.

Imagine you come to know that you are going to die in one month. Okay, now I know in that mental state you might not be able to do anything. But just take an example. Will you be going for work? Are you going to see the news channels and sit at home? Do you even think you will start planning what to do? You will just start doing it, no matter what. Whatever comes to your mind, you just do it. See I am not saying as a negative point. Obviously we all need jobs to survive. But learn how to balance. Balance your work life and social life. Keep a balance of your wealth and your attitude. We often don't take all this very seriously because we believe that there will be a time waiting for us to be happy. Our minds are trained in a way that we are taught to behave and do certain things at each stage of our life.

Don't wait for anything. This is your time. Just go for it.
